
Marian Furnica is a photographer based in Vienna, Austria, whose work and background offer a unique blend of artistic influences, particularly from his extensive experience in the theatre world.
Marian was born in Chisinau, Moldova, into a family with deep artistic roots. Marian trained at the Moldavian ballet academy and later received a scholarship to the prestigious Vienna State Opera Ballet School. After graduating, he joined the Vienna State Ballet, where he performed for 11 seasons. This period was crucial, not only for his development as a dancer but also for shaping his visual artistry.
He began taking photographs behind the stage, capturing the raw, unscripted moments of the ballet world. Since then he has ventured out more toward fashion and editorial work
